Florida-based Trigen had an unexpected challenge as they prepared to open a new office in Atlanta. Their interior design firm had given them a staid office plan full of dark wood and heavy fabrics, reflecting neither the firm’s young Atlanta workforce nor its ethos. Having already postponed their move-in date once, Trigen’s Atlanta office leadership came to C.W. Chase on recommendation, urgently looking for vision that would better represent their brand.
Chase delivered an even better-than-hoped-for solution–in just one week. We:
- Created a fresh, bright design that met Trigen’s vision and improved functionality.
- Reselected every design element, including furniture, flooring, paint, wall covering, lighting and accessories, and even consulted on art and signage.
- Saved 50% of the original build-out and furniture budgets (in the latter case preserving over $100K).
Even with the short timeframe and cost savings, Trigen’s new space is a bold combination of function and aesthetics, with striking elements such as reclaimed barn wood in the front lobby, high and low workscapes that allow light to come through, and simulated wood plank floors (Shaw LVT) in break rooms. Remanufactured Herman Miller AO2 systems are complemented by colorful COM on Cherryman side chairs. Soft seating from Global was covered in faux leather for an on-trend look that’s also durable.
Originally slated to project the bland hotel lobby image often typical of insurance firms, this office instead confirms to clients and employees that Trigen is the place to find progressive people and ideas.
The wheel had to be reinvented on this project, and Cindy Chase really met that schedule. She was accommodating on our needs and wonderful to work with. The space is absolutely gorgeous, and Trigen is extremely happy with it.
